Lab Services

Practical support beyond the classroom

Pathways teach structured content; Labs provide the human infrastructure that makes learning stick. AILearnPath Lab services are included or available to enrolled learners and prospective students evaluating our programmes. Every service is delivered by qualified instructors at our Telok Ayer campus or via scheduled video sessions — not outsourced chatbots or automated ticket queues.

Why labs matter

Learning happens when questions get answered honestly

Self-paced video courses leave learners stranded when exercises fail or concepts do not click. Our Lab model assumes that confusion is normal and that timely, accurate guidance is part of education — not an upsell. Lab services complement pathway delivery: you attend modules, practise in the environment, then use office hours and recaps to consolidate understanding before assessments and capstone milestones.

Services listed below are available during 2026 cohort cycles. Some are complimentary with pathway enrolment; others, such as standalone campus tours, are free for prospective learners. We do not sell Lab access as a substitute for structured programmes or promise outcomes from ad-hoc sessions alone.

Six lab services for learners and visitors

Included with enrolment

Instructor office hours

Scheduled drop-in sessions where enrolled learners bring questions from coursework, lab exercises or capstone planning. Instructors answer within the scope of the programme — they will not debug unrelated production systems or provide free consulting for commercial projects. Office hours run twice weekly during active cohorts, with sign-up via our learner portal. Sessions are capped to ensure each attendee receives meaningful attention rather than rushed queue processing.

Module recap sessions

Structured review sessions held after each major module block. An instructor revisits key concepts, walks through representative exercises and addresses common misconceptions surfaced during the week. Recaps are particularly valuable for learners returning to study after a career break or those whose day jobs rarely overlap with AI vocabulary. Attendance is optional but strongly recommended before module checkpoints. Recordings are available to enrolled learners for the cohort duration only.

Lab environment walkthrough

Every new cohort receives a guided tour of our standardised lab environment: cloud notebooks, version-controlled project templates, dataset repositories and submission workflows. You will configure your workspace, understand resource limits, learn how to request GPU time fairly, and know where to report environment issues. This session prevents the frustrating first-week experience of fighting tooling instead of learning concepts. Technical support staff are present to resolve access problems on the spot.

Prerequisites assessment

Not sure whether to start at ALP-101 or join at ALP-201? Book a 30-minute prerequisites assessment with an instructor who will review your background — prior coursework, work experience, self-study — and recommend an appropriate entry point. The assessment is diagnostic, not a gatekeeping exam: we would rather place you correctly than enrol you in a programme where you will struggle or bore. Results are advisory; final enrolment decisions remain yours. No charge for assessments booked in 2026.

Cohort onboarding

A structured orientation before your pathway begins. You will meet fellow cohort members, receive your schedule, understand attendance expectations, review academic integrity standards and configure communication channels. Onboarding also covers PDPA-related data handling — what we collect, why, and your rights as a learner in Singapore. For hybrid cohorts, we clarify which sessions are campus-based versus remote and what equipment you should bring. This session sets the tone for a collaborative, accountable learning community.

Campus tour — Telok Ayer

Visit our learning centre at 88 Telok Ayer Street and see where pathways and labs take place. Tours cover classrooms, the lab floor, breakout areas and accessibility features. An admissions team member explains programme structure, answers candid questions about scope and fees, and never pressures you to enrol on the spot. Tours are available on weekday afternoons and select Saturday mornings throughout 2026. Ideal for employers evaluating training for teams or individuals comparing options before committing.
